OMAHA, Nebraska - Methodist Health Systems is asking that people avoid visiting patients in their hospitals due to concerns of coronavirus. 6 News reports Methodist Fremont Health is not allowing visitors at Dunklau Gardens. Visitors to the NICU at Methodist Women’s Hospital will be restricted to parents and designated persons. At other facilities, visitors are limited to one or two people that are symptom free.
Twenty-sex employees at Methodist Women’s Hospital are on self-quarantine after possible exposure to the virus. Five tested negative but will continue to quarantine until the 14 days have passed.
Methodist Health System also has a hotline at (402) 815-SICK (7425 that is staffed 24 hours a day. This was set up after hospitals in their system increased significantly over the weekend.
