OMAHA, Nebraska - One person left the National Quarantine Unit at UNMC/Nebraska Medicine on Wednesday and another person was cleared to leave. Eight of the original 15 Americans from the Diamond Princess Cruise ship remain.
Seven of those are in the Quarantine Unit and one is being treated in the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit.
Testing continues and there is a chance that more people will be cleared to leave this week.
As preparation continues for the possible spread of the virus in Nebraska, it is advisable to review business continuity plans and consider what measures will be necessary if a large portion of staff must stay home from work. Families should make plans for the possible closing of schools and day cares.
