Teenage Driver Involved In Deadly Motorcycle Crash Will Face Charges

OMAHA, Nebraska - The 14 year old driver involved in a deadly pickup - motorcycle accident at 156th and Q Street on Saturday will face charges.

6 News reports Douglas County Attorney Don Klein says, "It appears we're going to file a misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide, 14 year old in juvenile court."

Kline says addition charges could be filed as the investigation continues.

The teen did not have a permit or license to drive.

Traffic investigators say the teen was driving a pickup on eastbound Q Street and tried to turn left onto northbound South 156th Street when the light was yellow. The motorcyclist, 29 year old Dillon Flesner was heading westbound on Q Street on a yellow light when the two vehicles collided. The report shows that another vehicle was also trying to turn on the yellow light.

Flesner and a passenger on his motorcycle were taken to a hospital. Flesner later died and the passenger suffered serious injuries.
