First Responders Injured During Water Rescue

OMAHA, Nebraska - High water around a cabin on County Road 19 Sunday night led to several injured first responders.

The two people that called for help had about five feet of water surrounding their cabin. Both were rescued and then taken to a hospital to be checked out. Both will be okay.

it wasn't an easy task for first responders. The current was swift and the airboat they were on struck a tree.

6 News reports one firefighter suffered a dislocated knee and a head cut. Two others suffered a concussion and bumps and bruises. They joined the others being rescued at a hospital to be checked out.
