Wife Of KFAB's Chris Baker Among Three Who Drank Toxic Cleaning Chemical

Two women and a bartender ended up in the hospital Tuesday afternoon after they say they drank a toxic cleaning chemical at the Alamo Draft House bar in LaVista.

One of the women is the wife of KFAB afternoon talk show host Chris Baker. Baker says his wife and the other two got sick after drinking blue fluid that is used to clean beer lines. The toxic cleaning chemical was reportedly in a re-purposed liquor bottle, but it's not known why it was behind the bar.

Baker says the bartender poured his wife and her friend a 4-count shot of the concentrated toxic cleaning fluid and they knew something was wrong. "Then the bartender came over and tested it and she got sick pretty fast as well," Baker says.

Baker says his wife's lips began burning and ran to the restroom to vomit. She and the other two went to the hospital to be treated. His wife was released from the hospital Tuesday night and should be okay in a couple of days.

"The nurse at the hospital said we were really lucky because that type of solution can cause your air passageways to swell up."

So far there has been no response from the Alamo Draft House
