Two Escaped Inmates Are Located And Back Behind Bars

LINCOLN, Nebraska - An inmate who didn't return to the Community Corrections Center - Lincoln on January 17th is back in custody.

Jamie Bear was arrested by Norfolk Police at a residence early this morning. He is now in the Madison County Jail.

Bear is serving a two year sentence for charges out of Madison County that include possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle and obstruction of an officer. His tentative release date was April 28, 2020.

An inmate who left Community Corrections Center - Omaha on December 4, 2019 is also back in custody. Sheldon Fils was arrested by the Council Bluffs Police Department on December 7th. Fils' sentence was recalculated and he was discharged from the Nebraska Department of Corrections. He is now serving a jail sentence in Douglas County related to the escape.
