Hayneedle Closing Omaha Headquarters, 200 Employees Laid Off

More than 200 people are losing their jobs in Omaha . Online home goods retailer Hayneedle announced Thursday it is shutting the doors to it's head quarters near 94th and West Dodge as the business becomes integrated into Walmart.com

Six News reports those 200 employees losing their jobs will receive at least 60 days' notice. More than 100 employees will relocate to Hayneedle's customer care office in Chalco.

"All associates will be provided with outplacement services and are eligible to apply for available roles within the Walmart network," according to a spokesperson.

Hayneedle.com was acquired by Jet.com in 2016, which was acquired by Walmart shortly thereafter. As part of Walmart’s e-commerce strategy, both Jet and Hayneedle operated independently.
