With a new round of snow and some freezing rain overnight metro area school districts have decided to cancel classes for Wednesday due to the slick conditions.

WOWT Channel 6 says wet snow will continue through the morning hours. 1 to 3 inches of slushy snow is expected for the morning commute.
Some rain is expected to mix in as light precipitation lingers into the early afternoon. There is a chance of more snow on Thursday.
First Alert Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says an additional 1 to 2 inches of light snow and slow accumulation is likely during the morning and afternoon Thursday.
That could Impact both the morning and evening commutes. Omaha Police went on accident alert as the morning commute began. Police advise anyone involved in an accident where no one is injured and the vehicles are movable to exchange information.
