The biggest snow storm of the season is expected to arrive in the metro area Friday bringing snow and freezing drizzle.
The snow was expected to start falling around 5:00 a.m., making the morning commute difficult. 3-5" of snow is expected in the area by noon.
Then, periods of light freezing drizzle is likely the rest of the day as temperatures warm to near 32 degrees.
The anticipation of the storm forced all metro area school districts to close on Friday. UNO also canceled classes along with school districts across the region.
