Omaha Police Arrest Suspected Vehicle Thieves

OMAHA, Nebraska - Omaha Police have made four arrests linked to vehicle thefts in the past week.

In a release, Police arrested 21 year old Noah Belt, 34 year old Joshua Deloa, 35 year old Andrew Luedtke and 21 year old Jason Mahoney.All were booked on charges relating to two different vehicle thefts.Police are looking for a fifth suspect.

6 News reports on January 9th, police were called to the Comfort Inn at 108th and J to investigate suspicious activity.Officers found Mahoney sitting in a Toyota Tundra with no plates parked next to Belt and another person in a Honda CRV.Both vehicles had been reported stolen.

One person jumped out of the CRV and into the Tundra and took off.Belt and Mahoney were arrested.Belt was booked for receiving stolen property and Mahoney had in his possession a stolen checkbook and a laptop.He was booked on charges of possession of a financial transaction device, receiving stolen property and criminal impersonation.

The Toyota was found later that morning at 90th and F Street.

On Saturday, two arrests were made after Omaha Police officers were scanning cars parked at a La Quinta Inn parking lot.They found two vehicles, a Cadillac and an Equinox that had been reported stolen.Officers also recognized two people suspected in a theft of a Dodge Durango walking in the parking lot.

Luedtke was arrested but Deloa ran before he too was arrested.Both face charges of drug possession, receiving stolen property and two counts of theft.Deloa was also booked on a felony warrant for obstruction.
