Lincoln Catfisher Sentenced To Federal Prison For Stalking

OMAHA, Nebraska - A Lincoln man will spend 2 1/2 years in federal prison for stalking. 34 year old Brandon Swenson will then spend three years on supervised release.

Between 2012 and June of 2019, Swenton assumed a fake on-line persona and developed a relationship with a woman. Swenton sent text messages and videos to the victim. She sent videos and messages in return.

Through the course of the online relationship, Swenton and the victim communicated through an internet texting service, which are facilities of interstate and foreign commerce, to send messages.

Swenton eventually sent threatening messages to the victim with intent to harass and intimidate her.
