Pilger Village Clerk Charged With Theft

PILGER, Nebraska - The village clerk of Pilger is accused of theft.

6 News reports that Kimberly Nieman was arrested Wednesday after a state audit uncovered more than half a million dollars in questionable transactions. On Pilger's credit card they also found more than $150,000 in suspicious charges.

On June 16, 2014, twin tornados hit the town. Neiman was one of those leading the recovery efforts and was praised for her help.
