LINCOLN, Nebraska - There is devastating damage at a home in Lincoln after a fire this morning at 53rd and Linden Street.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue reports the fire started in the living room. Crews kept the fire from spreading to other areas and had the fire put out within 13 minutes.
Two people inside evacuated and were not hurt. A smoke detector alerted them of the fire.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by a cigarette. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
