OPD Identifies Officers Involved In New Year's Eve Deadly Shooting

OMAHA, Nebraska - Omaha Police released the names of the officers involved in Wednesday night's deadly shooting at 24th and Evans.

Nine year veteran Officer Joshua Ames was shot in the leg while responding to the domestic disturbance. He was treated and released from a hospital for that injury.

The other two officers are Officer Jason Sunderman and Officer Matthew Ajuoga, both three year veterans of the department.

All three officers are now on administrative leave required by the department. Forensic firearms examinations will be completed as part of this investigation. The investigation is ongoing and any additional information will be released by the Omaha Police Department Public Information Office.

This is in connection to the shooting deaths of Terry Hudson and Dana Wells.
