OMAHA, Nebraska - Heavy rain is predicted across Eastern Nebraska into Iowa Saturday, and more on Sunday, with a total of an inch or more possible.
The National Weather Service says that rain could turn into light snow by late Sunday night in Omaha and Council Bluffs, possibly causing slick road conditions for the Monday morning drive.
In Central and Western Nebraska, it's another story. A Winter Storm Warning is already posted for the western half of Nebraska, into the Dakotas, and Minnesota. A foot or more of snow and blizzard conditions are possible in the areas in pink on the snow map, above.
The heavy snow starts Saturday in Nebraska and South Dakota and will move into North Dakota and Minnesota Sunday.
