OMAHA, Nebraska - A 73 year old Omaha man is sentenced to four years in federal prison after he was arrested during a sex trafficking sting. Larry Harris will then spend five years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
On April 12, 2019, FBI and other law enforcement officers were conducting a sex trafficking operation in Omaha. Officials say Harris used a cell phone to start a text conversation with a law enforcement officer that was undercover and posing as a 15 year old girl.
The age of the girl was told to Harris through the text conversation. Through text, Harris asked for and received the address of the girl with the intent to engage in sexual activity.
Harris was arrested when he showed up at the agreed upon address in Omaha.
