Lincoln Beer Box Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested In Kansas

LINCOLN, Nebraska - Update: The suspect is identified as 42 year old Cody George of Seneca, Kansas.

The man suspected of robbing the Lincoln Federal Savings Bank and shoved the cash into an empty Coors Light beer box Friday is in custody. He was taken into custody in Nemaha County, Kansas later that day.

Someone had called in a welfare check on a man slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. Inside, there was a handgun on the passenger seat and cash strewn about the vehicle. Officers arrived and took him into custody. He was being held in a Kansas Jail and Lincoln Police investigators responded to Kansas to process the evidence.

The name of the suspect is not being released until the investigation is complete.
