18 People Killed On Nebraska Roads During November

LINCOLN, Nebraska - The Nebraska Department of Transportation reports there were 18 people killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roads during the month of November.

Statistics show that 18 of the deaths happened in 18 separate crashes. Nine of the 14 vehicle occupants killed were not wearing seat belts. One of the fatalities was a motorcyclist, three were pedestrians and one person was riding an electric wheelchair.

Data shows one fatality happened on the interstate, twelve on highways and five on local roads. Fourteen of the fatalities happened in rural locations.

Compared to 2018, there were 17 fatalities during the month of November.

Only 64 of the 186 vehicle occupants killed so far this year were wearing seat belts.
