OMAHA, Nebraska - A 66 year old Omaha man is dead after an accident around 8:00 a.m. Thursday at 43rd and Curtis Avenue.
The investigation shows that a GMC Envoy was eastbound on Curtis Avenue when it veered, left the road and hit a tree. The driver, Glen Smith was rushed to a hospital and later died. Police say Smith was not wearing a seat belt.
This is the 28th motor vehicle fatality that the Omaha Police Traffic Unit has investigated so far in 2019.
