BELLEVUE, Nebraska - If you hear a lot of noise coming from Offutt Air Force Base there is no cause for alarm.
The base is conducting an emergency response training exercise that started today and will continue through Friday, December 13th.
There will be increased noise and activity to include simulated gunfire, sirens and messages from the loud speakers and alert vehicles that will be responding to the mock situations. Lockdown announcements may be heard over their loud speakers.
This exercise involves training scenarios and is intended to prepare Offutt Airmen for potential incidents. It is a routinely scheduled event to ready first responders and support teams.
Base access and traffic may be impacted and may cause delays.
