Two Abandoned Homes In Flood Ravaged Paradise Lakes Catch Fire

Bellevue firefighters spent several hours Sunday pouring water onto the burning remains of condemned homes in the flood-ravaged Paradise Lake community.

Investigators tell 6 News the fires are suspicious. The fires sent a plume of black smoke rising over eastern Sarpy County Sunday afternoon.

Officer Sean Vest with Bellevue Police tweeted, "The black smoke you see coming from Old Town Bellevue is several trailers on fire in the Paradise Lake Community."

The trailers were left uninhabitable by the spring floods. Two of them burned on Sunday. The Bellevue Fire Department was on the scene until well into the night Sunday.
