Paramedics In Omaha Ambulance Rescue People From Burning House

Paramedics in an Omaha rescue squad are being credited for rescuing a couple from their burning house late Sunday night.

Investigators say the medic unit was nearby and the paramedics alerted dispatchers to the fire that was burning on the front porch. They then alerted the two people inside and assisted in evacuating them through the back of the house.

Two dogs were also rescued and reunited with their owners. The Red Cross is assisting the two people with living arrangements.

No significant injuries were reported and the cause of this fire is under investigation.
