A new month means new streaming options on all your favorite streaming services. I've got the rundown on all the new titles for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime this month. Plus, a few recommendations along the way.
NETFLIX
The streaming giant really focuses in on original movies this month. From roughly a bajillion made-for-TV Christmas movies to award hopefuls, Netflix is debuting a ton of home-made originals in December. CLICK HERE for the full list.
For old movies you can binge, the Austin Powers trilogy is on Netflix this month. While childish and I'm sure full of dated humor, these movies are still a laugh riot. Silly enough to work, if it's too cold to go outside watch all three. Make a day of it! For original movies, I'd recommend 6 Underground. I don't know much more than Ryan Reynolds stars in a movie full of explosions. Which is good enough for me to click play. Their silver tuna this month at Netflix is Marriage Story, starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver as a couple going through a divorce it is garnering SERIOUS Oscar consideration.
HULU
CLICK HERE for the entire list of movies on Hulu this month. I will always champion the bad 90s comedy, Airheads. Starring Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, & Adam Sandler as a rock trio who hold a radio station and its employees hostage in order to get a record deal. The movie is dumb and funny. Last year's surprise hit, Bumblebee, hits Hulu on the 13th. The Transformers story starring John Cena garnered surprisingly good reviews from critics and fans alike, I haven't seen it. So I'm excited to get a chance to view it this month. Also, Kill Bill 1 and 2 are on Hulu this month and you should watch both movies whenever possible.
AMAZON PRIME
CLICK HERE for the full list. Prime touts one original movie this month after a short stint in theaters. Yet another team up between Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne. The story revolves around a pair of scientists who make discoveries in a hot air balloon. As for older movies, revisit The Aviator starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes. An underrated film from Martin Scorsese. And finish the year off with the Andy Kaufman biopic Man on the Moon starring Jim Carrey in a role that is both dramatic and comedic.
