Arrest Made In Flood Victim Thefts

SARPY COUNTY, Nebraska - Law enforcement tracked down a man wanted for theft.

6 News reports that a traffic stop on Highway 75 caught their eye. Sgt. John Raughton with the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office tells 6 News they had a signed warrant for the arrest of 47 year old Timothy Kozak of Plattsmouth. He had apparently been pawning stolen silver coins that belonged to flood victims in Sarpy County. He is accused of stealing thousands of dollars in property while helping flood victims clean up their property.

Law enforcement were able to identify Kozak thanks to the pawnshop tracking system.
