GRAND ISLAND, Nebraska - The Nebraska State Fair Chief of Finance Patrick Kopke resigned claiming that concerns about executive spending have not been addressed.
KSBN TV in Grand Island covered the Fair Board Meeting and reports that Kopke said they are one year away from bankruptcy. Kopke says his concerns went unaddressed and the board has not consulted him regarding finances.
Other members of the finance committee spoke and stated the 2019 budget was flawed and there is a lot of finger pointing right now.
More details will be provided as they become available.
