KANSAS CITY, Nebraska - A new Federal Reserve report says farm finances are deteriorating in some states, despite the Trump administration's trade war aid payments.
According to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City report for the 10th district, which includes Nebraska, but not Iowa, farm income in the region remained relatively weak and continued to decline.
Despite slightly higher crop prices and support from trade relief payments, overall farm income in the district is down compared with a year ago.
One bright spot - Nebraska, where farm income is slightly up.
