Man Arrested After Dragging Stolen Desk Up State Capitol Steps

LINCOLN, Nebraska - Lincoln Police are investigating a case of a stolen desk, vandalism and intoxication.

Officers were called to the State Capitol just before 6 a.m. after they received a report of a man dragging a desk up the stairs outside the building.

Officers learned that desk had been stolen from St. Mary's Church at 14th and K Street. The church had been burglarized. Police there found items ranging from broken ceramics, flower pots, hymnals thrown about, a podium tipped over and an air vent ripped from the floor.

Police arrested 36 year old Cody Daluca for burglary. Police say he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
