OMAHA, Nebraska - One person is in critical condition after an accident on Highway 50 and Giles Road at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol were called to the scene. Witnesses told officers that a Ford Focus, driven by 55 year old Melinda Armstrong of Valley was heading north on Highway 50. A Dodge Dakota driven by 70 year old Jerry Hoge of Omaha was heading east on Giles Road. They say the Focus ran a red light and t-boned the Dakota. The Focus then rolled and hit a traffic signal control box.
Both drivers were taken to hospitals. Armstrong was taken in critical condition and Hoge has minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation,.
