Omaha Man Injured In Construction Zone Crash

An Omaha man was seriously hurt in a one vehicle crash in a construction zone crash near 156th Street and Charles Street early Friday morning.

Investigators say a 2005 Honda Pilot was southbound when it left the roadway to the west and collided with a concrete construction barrier. The driver of the Honda, 41 year old Garrett Herber, was transported to the hospital to be treated for pelvis and abdomen injuries.

Police say his injuries are non-life threatening. Alcohol and lack of seat belt use are being investigated as factors in the crash.
