15 Year Old Lincoln Boy Charged With Attempted Robbery With Stolen Gun

LINCOLN, Nebraska - An arrest is made after the attempted robbery of a 12 year old Lincoln boy on Monday.

Lincoln Police say the boy was walking on W. Jennifer Drive when a car pulled up. A passenger pointed a gun at the boy and demanded his shoes. The victim ran off and the vehicle drove away.

Police used video surveillance and were able to capture the incident and locate the suspect, a 15 year old boy.

Police located that teenager on Wednesday and he was booked for attempted robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a stolen firearm. He is now in the Youth Detention Center.

The handgun used in the crime had been reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on November 1st in northwest Lincoln.
