I didn't care for the 04 version starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. I've never seen the Japanese version. Many said a PG-13 hindered the American version. Well, the 2020 iteration will be R-Rated and it brings horror legend Sam Raimi into the mix. Raimi directed Evil Dead and Drag Me to Hell (among many other projects). His involvement is basically a seal of approval to diehard horror fans.
This trailer looks interesting enough. Feels like a great date movie. I'm about as intrigued as I could be, having not liked the first film.
The Grudge hits theaters January 3rd of 2020.
