Metro Area Prepares For First Snow Of The Season

The metro area will get an early preview of winter on Monday. First Alert Chief meteorologist Rusty Lord says clouds will increase all day leading to some light snow after 6:00 p.m.

He says snow showers will be scattered and only minor accumulations are expected. Some areas may not see snow at all. The light snow moves out before midnight and clouds will slowly clear.

Wednesday brings another chance of snow. Accumulations will be very light once again with totals up to 2" possible south of the metro. Most areas will stay well short of that. Highs will reach the mid 30's.

Lord says any light snow will move out by early Halloween making for a chilly but dry night for the trick or treaters. Highs near 40 area likely, but it will be in the 30s for all the candy collecting.
