SARPY County, Nebraska - Omaha Police and the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office took part in the National Domestic Violence Warrants Sweep today.
Tuesday morning, over 25 deputies and officers took part in a briefing and went through the metro Omaha area to clear as many domestic violence related warrants as possible. Eight people were taken to jail during the six hour operation.
A total of 10 warrants were cleared with the charges ranging from strangulation, protection order violations, domestic violence and child support.
There were in excess of 31 service attempts made at various locations on these warrants.
Sarpy County Sheriff Jeff Davis and the Sarpy County Law Enforcement community take these crimes very seriously and want to convey a message tha they will not be tolerated.
