Confrontation With Omaha Police Leads To Two Arrests

Two people who Omaha Police say were in a stolen vehicle are now in custody after a confrontation with officers Monday morning.

The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. near 90th and Blair High Road. Police say the pair were traveling in a stolen truck when they crossed paths with officers.

Police tell 6 News that a man and a woman were taken into custody. At least one of the suspects ran and was captured moments later. Authorities subdued the man with a Taser deployment. A paramedic was called to the scene to check him once he was in custody.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of an injury related to the crash. According to an Omaha Police tweet from the scene, eastbound Blair High was shut down at 92nd Street as a result of a crash linked to the incident.
