Disney offering up the first look at Jungle Cruise, the hotly anticipated movie starring The Rock and Emily Blunt.
This looks like a fun romp ala Pirates of the Caribbean. Which is fitting, because both are Disney rides turned movies. You know what you're getting with The Rock. He's a serviceable actor who people love, he'll promote the heck out of the film, and he's charming enough to make you believe anything. Emily Blunt, coming off her turn as Mary Poppins, co-stars in a role I'm sure she'll do great at.
This doesn't look like the best movie in the world, but it does look a fun popcorn movie that the whole family can enjoy. Which is what you really want from a Disney movie.
Jungle Cruise hits theaters July 24th of 2020.
