UNO's 19th Annual Paranormal Summit Is Friday

OMAHA, Nebraska - Those who want to learn more about what goes bump in the night can attend the 19th annual UNO Paranormal Society's Summit on Friday, October 18th.

Society President Kyle Findley tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB, "We do scientific investigations. We go over paranormal equipment but mostly look at evidence. We have a lot of local ghost hunters and we basically critically analyze their evidence."

Findley says there are several local paranormal investigation teams that will give presentations including the Great Plains Supernatural Investigators. Other topics include "UNO Haunted History" and evidence from an investigation at the Villisca Axe Murder House.

One of the most popular events of the summit is the ghost hunt that follows the presentation. Findley says, "We go on a ghost hunt right here on the UNO campus. Some people who are really interested are here until about 1 a.m. We answer questions. We have all our ghost hunters out here leading the groups." Those sticking around for the hunt will learn how to use a lot of the paranormal equipment that you see on TV.

The Paranormal Summit starts at 7 p.m. in the CPACS Common Rooms and runs until 9 p.m. The public is invited. The cost for the public is $10.

The UNO Paranormal Society is a student based organization and hold meetings every Saturday from moon until 2 p.m. on campus. The public is invited to attend the weekly meetings.
