The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office says a man has been arrested after he drove a stolen car up a ramp and into an overhead door at the their jail in Papillion around 2:15 Friday morning.
investigators say 30-year old Alejandro Figueroa-Saez left the scene, but was eventually arrested near 90th and Schram Road. Deputies say the car was stolen from 108th and Military when the owner was loading the vehicle and had the keys in the ignition. Investigators say she went inside to get more items and came out to find the vehicle was gone.
investigators say Fgueroa-Saez admitted to using drugs and was visibly impaired.
He was booked for:
- Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident
- Driving Under the Influence
- Driving Under Suspension
- Theft by Receiving - over $5000.00
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Based on the damage to the car, deputies believe he may have hit more than the jail garage door. Call the sheriff's office if you think any of your property may have been damaged. The number is 402-593-2288.
