For the fourth time in about a month a child has died after being hit by a vehicle. Bellevue Police say a nine year old boy was struck by an SUV around 5:00 p.m. near 4th Street and Pleasantview. That's just south and east of Ft. Crook Road and Childs.
Bellevue Police say the boy was rushed to Nebraska Medicine where he died Sunday night. Circumstances of the accident remain under investigation. The child's name has not yet been released.
On August 20 ten year old Abby Whitford was struck and killed by a car while crossing a street in downtown Papillion. Three days later 11 year old Jaycoby Estrada was killed instantly when his bicycle was struck by a semi in Blair. On August 27 two year old Rosalinda Lopez-Tino was struck by her father has he pulled his SUV into the family's south Omaha driveway.
