35 year old Michael Burch is charged with motor vehicle homicide, willful reckless driving and leaving the scene of a personal injury crash on August 13th. That accident happened on Highway 75 and 34. Killed in that crash was motorcyclist 47 year old Jody Emmert.
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office reports their investigation shows that Burch was operating his vehicle in what is believed to be a willfully reckless manner when it collided with Emmert's motorcycle. Burch did not immediately stop after the crash but later returned to the scene.
The crash involved a total of four vehicles, however, no charges have been filed against any of the other drivers.
