A man is dead after he was shot in downtown Benson late Thursday night. Omaha Police tell 6 News five shots rang out about 11:45 p.m. outside the Waiting Room Lounge near 62nd and Maple.
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying in the grass next to a building. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
Police are now asking for community help in developing leads in the case. Anyone with information is urged to to contact the homicide Unit at 402 444-5656 or to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402 444-STOP.
