Two Children Died In This Morning's Accident On Highway 370

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office released more details in this morning's deadly accident near 192nd and Highway 370.

The accident involved four vehicles. The preliminary investigation shows that a dump truck driven by 37 year old Jesse Knight of Papillion rear-ended a 2016 Toyota mini-van that was stopped at a red light on eastbound Highway 370. Passengers in the Toyota van were 37 year old Kristy Young, 14 year old Levi Young, 12 year old Hunter Young, 16 year old Abby Young and 10 year old Stephen Young, all of Douglas County.

Stephen Young was pronounced dead at the scene. Abby Young later died at a hospital. Both were students at Millard Public Schools.

The three survivors in the Toyota van and three others were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation
