Missouri River Levels Will Remain High Through Fall

The U-S Army Corps of Engineers reports Missouri River levels won't be declining anytime soon.

Heavy rain led to runoff in the upper Missouri River Basin above Sioux City. The July runoff was more than double compared to what is normal in some areas.

The Corps says runoff this year is the second highest in 121 years. The 2011 flood is the record holder.

The Corps also says releases from the Gavin's Point Dam will remain high until fall.
