Deadly Lincoln Crash, Five injured

Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies responded to a single vehicle deadly crash at 10:23 p.m. on August 5th.The crash happened near the 3300 block of W.. Mill Road.

The preliminary investigation shows that a westbound Humvee, driven by 16 year old Mathew Matveyuk lost control on the gravel road and rolled into a ditch.There were six other passengers inside the vehicle and five were thrown from the Humvee.

24 year old Daniel Dmitruk was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

8 year old Ella Kosinskaya suffered an injured right shoulder.5 year old Timothy Matveyuk suffered traumatic injuries and is in critical but stable condition. 7 year old Simone Matveyuk suffered a leg injury and 9 year old Angelina Matveyuk a broken leg. 20 year old Jonathan Matveyuk had minor injuries and refused treatment. Matthew Matveyuk suffered a wrist injury. All the patents were transported to Bryan Health West Campus.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash .Preliminary investigation results indicate that seat belts were not in use with the five individuals who were thrown from the vehicle.

Raymond and the Lincoln Fire Departments responded to the scene.
