Everyone is invited to the Fontenelle Park Lagoon at 45th and Ames Avenue on Thursday, August 8th as the city of Omaha celebrates the completion of the large improvement project.
This unique Clean Solutions for Omaha project is an example of how the program can maximize natural environments along with targeted sewer separation to provide cost savings and a community amenity.
Project partners included the City of Omaha Parks Department and Nebraska Game and Parks.
Mayor Jean Stothert, Councilman Ben Gray and Omaha Parks Director Brook Bench will be on hand to celebrate the event. It will take place at 10:30 a.m.
Residents can park along Fontenelle Boulevard. If it rains the ceremony will be held across the street from the lagoon.
