A person has died after being struck by a semi at 16th and Cuming Thursday afternoon. Investigators say the semi driver was southbound on 16th Street around 4:30 and had the green light as he tried to turn east onto Cuming Street.
Police say a pedestrian was struck by the semi as they were attempting to cross 16th Street in the crosswalk against the traffic light.
The unidentified pedestrian was transported to Nebraska Medicine by paramedics and later pronounced dead. The Investigation is ongoing.
