The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) announces US-275/N-92 west of the Elkhorn River is scheduled to reopen today Wednesday, July 31, with flagging operations to continue during daylight hours for up to three weeks. That is according to NDOT District Two Engineer Tim Weander.
US-275/N-92 closed on March 15th as a result of significant flood damage to the bridge. the original bridge was 890 feet long with a single span. As a result of flood damage, the new structure is 210 feet long and is a 3-pan bridge. The bridge was completely reconstructed with new pavement. It was closed a total of 139 days and the cost of repairs was $3.5 million.
