Authorities in Pennsylvania are searching for a woman who has been accused of urinating on potatoes at Walmart. The West Mifflin Police Department released photos of the woman taken from surveillance cameras throughout the store and have asked the public for help identifying her.
Officials did not say when the incident happened, but Walmart says the public was never at risk of purchasing the tainted items. An employee witnessed the disgusting act and immediately discarded the potatoes and sanitized the area.
Walmart issued a statement saying they are working with the police and plan to prosecute the woman when she is identified.
“The safety of our customers is a top priority for us. This type of obscene conduct is outrageous and we immediately disposed of the affected products and sanitized the area to ensure its cleanliness and safety for our customers. We’re working with the West Mifflin Police Department to find the responsible party and have them prosecuted.”
The incident comes a few weeks after a Texas teen went viral for licking a container of Blue Bell ice cream and putting back on the shelf. She shared the video online, sparking copycats all across the country.
