OMAHA, Nebraska - Nebraska makes the Top 10 in a new ranking of public school systems in the United States.
WalletHub analyzed and compared school systems, looking at 29 key metrics that fall under the headings of quality and safety, putting Iowa at 15th best out of the 50 states and District of Columbia.
Some of the metrics include funding, safety, class size and instructor credentials.
The State of Nebraska ranks 8th best in the nation, second-best in the Midwest region, with Minnesota ranking 6th.
Iowa ranks 15th, but is tops in the nation for the lowest drop out rate, and is tied for 5th best for the highest median SAT scores.
