Attorneys For Suspect Boswell Request Change Of Venue

Accused murder Bailey Boswell's trial is set to start in October. She is charged with 1st Degree Murder and improper disposal of human remains in the 2017 death of Sydney Loofe of Lincoln.

Attorneys for Boswell are asking that her trial be moved from Saline County. That is where co-defendant Aubrey Trail was convicted of murder on July 10th.

Boswell's attorneys say the extensive media coverage in Trail's trial would be prejudicial in seating an impartial jury in Saline County. Her defense team says there is a "pattern of deep and bitter prejudice" toward Boswell.

Her attorneys are also asking that no cameras be allowed in the courtroom. They are requesting that law enforcement not wear a uniform, badge or firearm while testifying. They also want to exclude all testimony associated with the occult, witchcraft and sorcery. They also are requesting that those in the courtroom not wear memorial buttons or clothing.

A hearing on that request is set for August 9th.

A three judge panel is deciding whether Trail will spend the rest of his life in prison on face death. Trail has requested a new trial.
