Two Rivers Drowning Victim Identified

Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office released the name of Thursday's drowning victim at Two Rivers State Park as 43 year old William D. Curran, a resident of Douglas County.

Officials say he was swimming in the designated swim area and had gone under water and failed to re-surface.

Fire departments from Waterloo, Valley and Omaha responded to the call for help. The Waterloo Fire Department Water Rescue Team located Curran’s body in the swim area. He was removed from the water by the Yutan Dive Team and was pronounced dead.

An autopsy has been requested to determine the actual cause of death.

This is the second drowning at Two Rivers this year. 41 year old Joshua Williams died there in June.
